With the West Coast Modern League, Steve introduced the Vancouver premiere of The Mies van der Rohes, an epic family saga in the times of modernism, told by the women around the iconic architect Mies van der Rohe.

Chelsea moderated a conversation critically exploring the architectural RESTOMOD with renowned local designers Sophie Burke, Fook Weng Chan, and Mark Ritchie. Pulling from their experiences taking on sensitive and innovative renovations to significant modern homes in the region, this discussion probed the varied and divergent approaches used in the act of restoring our modern architectural history while modifying to contemporary technologies and standards of living.

The West Coast Modern League launched On the Boards, a new event series featuring local designers talking about their work recently completed or currently underway. This inaugural event featured environmental artist and designer Alyssa Schwann with architect Laura Killam.

Carmichael Salon was a fundraising event in support of the West Coast Modern League's public programs featuring an afternoon at one of Ron Thom's last-remaining 30-60-90 houses. The afternoon was capped off by remarks from architecture writer and League founder Adele Weder with pre-eminent Canadian architect and board member John Patkau.

euoi studio was thrilled to sponsor the 2022 Architecture & Design Film Festival in Vancouver. In his work with the West Coast Modern League, Steve introduced multiple Vancouver premiere screenings of Beyond the Life of Forms, a story dedicated to two works by two great architects of the twentieth century–Carlo Scarpa's Brion funeral complex is San Vito d'Altivole and Aldo Rossi's San Cataldo Cemetery in Modena.

Chelsea moderated a conversation, entitled West Coast Modernism in Context, with eminent designers David Battersby, Lisa Bovell, Joseph Fry, Paul Merrick, and Peeroj Thakre critically contextualizing the fundamental relationship between mid-century West Coast Modernism and contemporary architecture and design practice.

In conjunction with the opening of Cornelia Hahn Oberlander: Genius Loci at the West Vancouver Art Museum, and an accompanying publication, the West Coast Modern League hosted a discussion with Charles Birnbaum, Amery Calvelli, Susan Herrington, and Eva Matsuzaki, moderated by Dr. Hilary Letwin.

Presented by the West Coast Modern League, Vancouver's design community celebrated the work and enduring legacies of Peter Cardew, Bruno Freschi, Richard Henriquez, Paul Merrick, and Don Vaughan. The program reflected on their creative contributions to our built environment and offered insight into the influences of personal and continued significance to their careers, design philosophies, and creative processes.

The West Coast Modern League celebrated Barry Downs, Zoltan Kiss, Geoffrey Massey, Blair Macdonald, and Arthur Müdry, all who have been integral in shaping the evolution of the west coast design ethos. Joined by the five architects, along with hundreds from the design community, we gained insight into their creative influences, and honoured the critical works that have become emblematic of their rich careers.
