West Vancouver, BC
Single-Family Renovation
1,560 sq.ft.
Morrison House is a low-slung, single-storey home, originally designed by F. Dawson in 1961, set into a thickly-forested neighbourhood. Built of post-and-beam construction, synonymous with mid-century West Coast Modernism, the home features an expansive wall of glass off of the common living areas, wide overhanging eaves, and a partition wall of Roman brick with an integrated feature fireplace.
Occupied by a young family, euoi studio has been tasked with reimagining and sensitively modernizing the home's primary areas for gathering and nourishing.
